Members of the Shady Ladies Chapter of the Red Hat Society met Wednesday at the café for their Christmas party with Dee Duggan as hostess. They played games, sang carols, and enjoyed their annual cookie exchange. Those in attendance included Joyce Cox of Abilene, Ramona Goracke, Betty Schlesener and Anita Hummel of Hope, Phyllis Allen, Barbara Askew, Alice Bell, Rhea Kolling, Karolyn Schlesener, and Helen Sorenson of Herington, Ramona Beisel, Adeline Bernhardt, Leona Kleiber, and Dee Duggan. Rose Mary Deines was unable to attend.

Sydney Smith spent Wednesday with her great-grandparents, Reuben and Lucille Kerbs.

Gary and Carole Spohn and Georgia Spohn attended funeral services Tuesday for Mary Reich at Hope.

Leona Kleiber, Tillie Hein, and Jane Vajnar accompanied Adeline Bernhardt to a friendship supper Tuesday evening at Morning Star Church.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs attended a seventh grade basketball game Tuesday evening in Abilene. Their granddaughter, Taylor Thompson, played for the Lady Longhorns, who defeated Chapman. Doug and Connie Thompson also were there to cheer her on.

Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham of Florence Monday morning at Hillsboro. They attended the Learning in Retirement Christmas coffee at Tabor College and enjoyed dinner out. The program featured music, shared snacks, and shared memories. Judy Mace played her harp, Wilmer Thiessen told of memories of Christmas programs of his childhood, and Caryl Wiebe related her memories of the Christmas morning fire which destroyed the Gnadenau Church.

Tom and Dee Duggan were among those attending the friendship supper Tuesday evening at Morning Star Church.

A group of women enjoying dinner Monday at Hillsboro were Bonnie Crandall, Shirley Hamm, Adeline Bernhardt, Patty Ingalls, Helen Costello, Dee Duggan, Tillie Hein, Philothia Snell, Leona Kleiber, Lorene Kleiber, and Eleanor Herbel.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna, and Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki joined many other relatives Sunday for dinner at the home of Lyal and Julie Sader in Salina.

Sunday after church visitors of Reuben and Lucille Kerbs were Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn and Jesse and Ashton Smith and Sydney.

Darla Hall and Adam of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington spent Thursday through Sunday with Tom and Dee Duggan. Ernie and Darleen Kite of Bartlesville, Okla., joined them Friday through Sunday. They enjoyed a belated celebration of Tom’s birthday and an early celebration of Darlene’s and Deb’s birthdays.

Tillie Hein and Philothia Snell visited Edmond Kroupa and Martin Hajek at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki, and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna enjoyed dinner out and a movie Friday at Salina.

Susie Rziha of Independence, Cecilia Rziha of Wichita, Julie Rziha of Atchison, and Jerry and Jeanne Rziha spent Thanksgiving Day weekend in Chippewa Falls, Wis., visiting Jim and Diane Herron, Andrew, Peter, Maria and John, and Emilio and Janie Aita, Antonio and Sebastian.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs went to Abilene Saturday to visit Doug and Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor. All enjoyed dinner out.

Adeline Bernhardt went to Wichita the evening of Nov. 27, to visit Barney and Linda Bernhardt and Megan. They attended a Thanksgiving service Wednesday evening at Trinity Lutheran Church. Carl and Kathy Hubbard and Clint of Wellington joined them Thanksgiving Day, and all enjoyed dinner out. Later in the afternoon, Carl, Kathy, and Adeline went to a movie.

Thanksgiving dinner and evening guests of Phyllis and Rodney Mueller were Don, Ophelia and Greg Jacobson of Hope, John and Wanda Lewis, Paul, Sarah, and Luke of Wichita, Tom and Bev Reid of Marion, Mike and Sheila Mueller and Saige of Laramie, Wyo., and Jody Heath, Danielle and Tyler of Salina, Elda Ebel and Kelsie Penner of Hillsboro, Brad and Jason Backhus, and Paul and Edna Backhus.

Tillie Hein and Philothia Snell were Thanksgiving dinner guests of Bill and Pam Fillmore of Cottonwood Falls. Dolores Scott of Emporia also was a guest.

Mike and Sheila Mueller and Saige of Laramie, Wyo., spent this past week visiting Elda Ebel of Hillsboro and Phyllis and Rodney Mueller.

Leona Kleiber accompanied Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas of Salina to Augusta Thursday to spend Thanksgiving with Dean and Becky Routh, Allison, Melody, and Danielle.

Greg Sklenar of Wichita was a overnight guest Wednesday of his mother, Lois Sklenar. Valerie Hampton of Hillsboro joined them Thanksgiving Day.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs were Thanksgiving Day guests of Doug and Connie Thompson, Allison, and Tayler of Abilene. Other guests were Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City, Tim and Marchelle Kerbs, Molly Kerbs, Mark Reidy, Josh and Cierra, and Jeremy Sluder of Salina, Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn, and Jesse and Ashton Smith and Sydney.

Thanksgiving Day guests of Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna were Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki, and Burma Hanschu and friend.

Phyllis and Rodney Mueller and Mike and Sheila Mueller and Saige were Tuesday evening supper guests of Elda Ebel of Hillsboro.

Dinner guests of Phyllis and Rodney Mueller Nov. 23 were Elda Ebel of Hillsboro and Mike and Sheil Mueller and Saige of Laramie, Wyo.
