CORRESPONDENTS: Tampa: Farmers market season begins

Tampa had its first farmers market of the summer June 2. The event, sponsored by Tampa Community Association, will be every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Additional vendors are wanted.

Lori Moldenhauer took her parents, Frank and Anna Mae Stika, out for supper June 2 to celebrate their wedding anniversary.

Supper guests of Gary and Carole Spohn on May 31 were Leo and Sue Yonda and Georgia Spohn.

Connie Thompson of Abilene took her mother, Lucille Kerbs, to Salina on June 1 for an appointment and to run errands. They met Allison Phillips and Jeremy Sluder for dinner out.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika enjoyed dinner out June 2 in Hillsboro in celebration of their wedding anniversary.

Cindy Vinduska, Adeline Bernhardt, and Leona Kleiber attended a Memorial Day service at Lewis Cemetery in Ramona. Adeline and Leona stayed for a potluck dinner.

Tom and Dee Duggan took their granddaughter, Kaylee Hall, of Herington to Junction City on May 30 to get a new bicycle for her 11th birthday.

Visitors of Phyllis and Rod Mueller on Memorial Day were Don, Ophelia, and Greg Jacobson of Hope.

Jerry and Jill Spohn of White City and Gary and Carole Spohn visited Georgia Spohn on May 29.

Jane Vajnar stayed with Marc and Wendy Stroede of Kanopolis from May 29 through June 1. Other visitors included Meghann Bunch, Iris, Shannon, Alexis, and Kaitlyn of Geneseo and Dan Stroede, his girlfriend, and her daughter, Abriana. Jane visited Jon and Wanda Sneath at Carneiro on May 29. Jane attended the Walker family reunion May 30 at Carneiro and an open house at Rancho Melagra. On Memorial Day, she attended the American Legion-VFW service at Carneiro Cemetery and a potluck dinner afterward.

Dinner guests of Lucille Kerbs on Memorial Day were Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City, Clayton and Leah Kerbs of Topeka, Tim and Marchelle Kerbs of Salina, Connie Thompson and Taylor of Abilene, and Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn. Afternoon visitors were Allison Phillips and Jeremy Sluder. They also visited the cemetery.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Tom and Lori Moldenhauer, Nikki Stenzel and her friend Mark, and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu and Anna attended a Memorial Day service at Lewis Cemetery in Ramona. After the service, Tien and Kahn Antoszyk; Tom and Lori Moldenhauer; and Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu and Anna went to the Stika home for a barbecue. Tien, Nikki, Mark, and Greg Stenzel were supper guests. Evening visitors were the Danny Denham family.

Dinner guests of Rodney and Phyllis Mueller on May 30 were Elda Ebel and Debbi Ecli of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and Ron and Jody Heath, Dani, and Tyler of Salina. Afternoon visitors were Tom and Bev Reid of Marion, Mike and Jenny Jay and Cody of Hillsboro, and Paul and Edna Backhus.

Tom and Dee Duggan attended a dinner May 30 at St. Mark’s Activity Center in Marion in honor of Catholic priest Hien Nguyen who celebrated 10 years in the priesthood.

Barney and Linda Bernhardt of Wichita and Carl and Kathy Hubbard of Wellington visited Adeline Bernhardt on May 29. Adeline, Kathy, and Barney went to the cemetery to decorate Ted Bernhardt’s grave and Carl did some chores for Adeline. They all ate out in Hillsboro in celebration of Adeline’s birthday, which will be Sunday. Karen Kortam and Clifford Collins of Wichita visited briefly May 29.

Earl and Ruth Pankratz of Newton; Ronald and Irene Pankratz of Bend, Ore.; Lenora Graham of Florence; and Georgia Spohn ate dinner out May 28 in Marion.

Tom and Dee Duggan called their grandson, Adam Hall, on May 30 to wish him a happy 18th birthday.

Leona Kleiber and Adeline Bernhardt went to Peabody on May 30 to decorate the graves of Adeline’s relatives in Prairie Lawn Cemetery. They also visited Sharon Grosse and Julie Ensminger.

Deb and Kaylee Hall and Madison Weber of Herington and Tom and Dee Duggan ate supper out May 29 in Herington.

Ronald and Irene Pankratz of Bend, Ore.; Lenora Graham and Greg Graham of Florence; Earl and Ruth Pankratz of Newton and their daughter Karen of California; Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Pankratz of Overland Park; Velber and Donna Rose Bevan of Hutchinson; Gary and Carole Spohn; and Georgia Spohn ate supper out May 26 in Newton.

Deb Hall and Kaylee and Madison Weber of Herington; Don and Betty Frick of Topeka; and Tom and Dee Duggan ate dinner out May 29 in Lost Springs.
