Tom and Dee Duggan went to Topeka on Feb. 1 for Older Kansans Day. They met with Rep. Bob Brookens and joined in singing, “Happy Birthday” to him. They also attended a session of the Kansas House of Representatives, where the legislators were discussing redistricting.

Delores Siggs of Goessel and Adeline Bernhardt ate breakfast at the café Feb. 6 and then went to Marion, where they visited Edna Mueller at St. Luke Living Center.

Lucille Kerbs met Tim Kerbs at Elmo on Feb. 5 and accompanied him to Salina, where she was a dinner guest of Tim and his wife, Marchelle. Molly Kerbs and Raymond Deiser were additional guests.

Nikki Stenzel was awarded semester honors by Kansas State University for achieving academic excellence in the fall semester. Semester honors are awarded to students earning a 3.75 or higher grade-point average.

Lynn and Peggy Kleiber of Salina and Terry and Cindy Vinduska of Marion were Feb. 5 visitors of Leona Kleiber. They helped her with some chores.

Russ and Julie Kerbs and Lucille Kerbs met Rustyn Kerbs in Hillsboro on Feb. 4 for dinner out and shopping.

Julie Rziha of Atchison and Cecilia Rziha of Oklahoma City, Okla., were Feb. 4-5 guest of their parents, Jerry and Jeanne Rziha.

Darlene and Ernie Kite of Bartlesville, Okla., were Feb. 4-5 guests of Tom and Dee Duggan. Darla Hall of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington joined them for part of the weekend.

Many Tampa people attended homecoming basketball games Feb. 3 at Centre High School, where two Tampa ladies shone. Danielle Spohn was crowned homecoming queen, and Sarah David was one of the little helpers.

Lucille Kerbs visited Connie Thompson in Abilene on Feb. 3 for dinner out.
