NEW jailings

Chance N. Brooks, 26, Wichita, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies June 9 for allegedly failing to appear in court. Held in lieu of $5,000 surety bond. Previously jailed April 18 to 20, 2019, on suspicion of theft, eluding police, aggravated child endangerment, driving under the influence, transporting an open container of alcohol, and driving with a suspended license. Also jailed Aug. 1 through 21 for allegedly failing to appear in court.

Johnnie L. Diaz, 53, Hutchinson, was jailed Monday for allegedly failing to appear in court.

Colton T. Gann, 32, Newton, was arrested June 10 on suspicion of probation violation. Released 3½ hours later on $5,000 surety bond. Previously jailed Sept. 15 to Oct. 11, 2018, on suspicion of improper stop, distribution of opiates, marijuana, and heroin; possession of drug paraphernalia and stolen property; possession of a firearm by a felon; driving while his license was suspended; making an improper stop; and displaying an incorrect license plate. Also jailed Dec. 19 to 28, 2018, on a warrant for burglary, theft including theft of a firearm, possession of opiates, stimulants, and drug paraphernalia.
