NEW ARRESTS

Steven K. Ball, 56, Potwin, jailed Wednesday on suspicion of child abuse. Released five hours later after posting a $25,000 surety bond.

Justin M. Carpenter, 23, Indianapolis, arrested Wednesday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of possessing and distributing illicit stimulants and hallucinogens and possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Released Friday after posting a $15,000 surety bond.

Dakota L. Easterberg, 26, Marion, jailed Friday for three days on court orders. Previously jailed July 23 to 29, 2020, on suspicion of possessing stimulants and drug paraphernalia.

Travis R. Grosse, 46, Marion, jailed Saturday on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery. Released less than 15 minutes later after posting a $10,000 surety bond. Grosse was charged Aug. 8 with aggravated domestic battery for an Aug. 6 incident during which he allegedly choked Lesa Jost. Previously jailed eight times for a total of 12 days between Jan. 22, 2018, and July 14, 2022, on court orders, for three times failing to appear in court, once on a motion to revoke probation, and on suspicion of domestic battery, possessing stimulants, distributing or attempting to distribute drug paraphernalia, a fourth or subsequent incident of driving under the influence, operating a vehicle without a required anti-drinking interlock, driving without liability insurance, and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.

Loren D. Hamm, 67, Lehigh, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed June 3 for allegedly violating his probation and Sept. 5 to 8, 2021, on suspicion of possessing stimulants, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Makayla N. Siegrist, 22, Indianapolis, arrested Wednesday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of possessing and distributing stimulants and hallucinogens and possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Released Friday after posting a $15,000 surety bond.

Chad L. Voth, 49, Hillsboro, arrested Saturday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possessing a firearm while under the influence. Released less than an hour later after posting a $2,500 surety bond.
