NEW JAILINGS

Jason D. Bass, 43, Douglas, jailed Friday for contempt of court.. Released five hours later without bond. Previously jailed Jan. 13 to 18 on suspicion of possessing stimulants, having no tax stamp for marijuana, speeding, and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.

David M. Gore, 40, Durham, jailed Feb. 21 for 20 days on court orders. Previously jailed Oct. 5 to 7 for failing to appear in court.

Ardell P. Jones, 48, Newton, jailed Feb. 22 for twice failing to appear in court. Held in lieu of $20,000 bond. Previously jailed eight times for a total of 21 days between May 2, 2018, and July 7, 2022. Previous jailings were for failing to appear in court and on suspicion of three counts of possession of stimulants along with single counts of criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, distribution of heroin and stimulants, attempting to possess or distribute illicit drugs, possessing marijuana with two or more prior convictions, possessing drug paraphernalia, attempting to possess drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid license, and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked plus another count of possessing marijuana.

Johannah R. Latham, 18, Hillsboro, arrested Saturday by Hillsboro police on suspicion of domestic battery and criminal damage to property. Released Tuesday without bond.

Sarah V. Smith, 44, Marion, arrested Sunday by Marion police on suspicion of violating a protective order against stalking. Released 17 hours later without bail. Previously jailed Dec. 13 and 14 on suspicion of possessing stimulants, driving without liability insurance, and displaying a license plate not assigned to the vehicle being driven.
