NEW JAILINGS

Jazzmone B. Carter, 26, Wichita, arrested Sunday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of distributing marijuana, driving without a license, and failing to display evidence of vehicle liability insurance. Released 10 hours later after posting a $5,000 bond.

Nicholas B. Fritz, 44, Wichita, arrested Friday by a state trooper on suspicion of having no vehicle liability insurance and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked. Released less than seven hours later after posting a $2,000 bond.

Braeden A. Hayes, 23, Newton, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previous jailed Oct. 22 to 24 on court orders and April 18, 2021, on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, transporting an open container of alcohol, and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.

Kirby A. Jahnke, 51, Florence, arrested Sunday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of forgery. Held in lieu of $10,000 bond. Previously jailed Nov. 15 to Dec. 14, 2019, on court orders; Sept. 24 and 25, 2019, for allegedly violating his probation; and Dec. 17 and 18, 2018, on suspicion of domestic battery.

Shannon R. Lehr, 41, Herington, arrested Monday by a sheriff’s deputy for indirect contempt of court. Held without bond. Previously jailed four times for a total of 71 days between Oct. 11, 2019, and Feb. 13, 2023. Previous jailings were on court orders once, for allegedly violating probation twice, and on suspicion of distributing stimulants, possessing drug paraphernalia, and having no marijuana tax stamp.

Eduardo Roman-Ortiz, 41, Herington, jailed Thursday for allegedly violating his probation. Released 3½ hours later after posting a $2,500 bond. Previously jailed May 10 and 11, 2021, on suspicion of distributing stimulants, possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and transporting an open container of alcohol.

Sabastian I. Simon, 21, Burns, arrested Sunday by a sheriff’s deputy for failing to appear in court. Released 2½ hours later after posting a $1,000 bond.
