NEW JAILINGS

Tyra L. Adair, 23, McPherson, arrested Sunday by a state trooper on suspicion of knowingly driving without liability insurance and while her license was canceled, suspended, or revoked. Released two hours later after posting $2,500 in bonds.

Jason L. Anderson, 50, Peabody, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed six times for a total of 39 days between Nov. 16, 2017, and Dec. 30, 2022. Previous jailings were for allegedly violating his probation, for failing to appear in court three times, on court orders once, and on suspicion of possessing stimulants and drug paraphernalia and distribution of marijuana.

Matthew W. Dudte, 51, Canton, arrested Tuesday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, aggravated incest, and aggravated child endangerment. Held in lieu of $500,000 bond.

Eduardo R. Ortiz, 41, Herington, jailed Monday for allegedly violating his probation. Released four hours later after posting a $5,000 bond.

Kelby J. Schmidt, 30, jailed Thursday for three days on court orders. Previously jailed nine times for a total of 46 days between Feb. 10, 2022, and Dec. 3, 2023. Previous jailings were for allegedly violating his probation once, on court orders six times, and on suspicion of criminal damage to property, attempted harassment by telecommunications device, reckless driving, interference with a law enforcement officer, and being a pedestrian under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Christopher M. Thomas, 25, Junction City, jailed Monday for the Department of Corrections. Previously jailed Sept. 7 through 9, 2022, for contempt of court and March 30 and 31, 2022, on suspicion of distributing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and of possessing stimulants and no marijuana tax stamp.

Nick A. Wing, 44, McPherson, held since Friday for another facility on unspecified charges .
