NEW ARRESTS

Kyleigh E. Clarke, 23, Topeka, jailed Saturday for 72 hours on court orders. Previously jailed Aug. 7 to 9, 2022, for failing to appear in court ; Feb. 22 to 24, 2021, on court orders; and Aug. 4 to 6, 2020, for failing to appear in court.

Stephanie L. Johnson, 45, Newton, arrested Dec. 27 by a sheriff’s deputy on a warrant alleging two violations of her probation. Held in lieu of $5,000 in bonds. Previously jailed June 9, 2022, on suspicion of possessing stimulants and drug paraphernalia; Jan. 14 and 15, 2022, on suspicion of aggravated burglary, making a criminal threat, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespassing; and May 2 to 4, 2018, on suspicion of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

James R. Spohn, 25, Marion, arrested Saturday by Marion police on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failing to stop at an accident, speeding, failing to have vehicle liability insurance, driving with a defective taillight, and transporting an open container of alcohol. Released 22 hours later after posting $6,000 in bonds. Previously jailed June 16 to Aug. 2 on suspicion of possessing stimulants, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia; conspiracy to contribute to the delinquency of a minor; distribution of hallucinogens or marijuana; providing cigarettes to an underage person; making a criminal threat; and criminal damage to property. Also jailed Sept. 22, 2020, on suspicion of underage driving under the influence.

Houston J. Svoboda, 29, Tampa, jailed Dec. 26 for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed April 14 on suspicion of driving under the influence.
