NEW JAILINGS

Hipolito Ayala Jr., 26, Wichita, arrested Thursday by a state trooper on suspicion of felony theft, speeding, and driving an unregistered vehicle without liability insurance while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked. Held in lieu of posting a $25,000 bond.

Javier Gomez, 30, Abilene, Texas, arrested Sunday by Marion police on an unspecified warrant and on suspicion of speeding and interfering with law enforcement. Released 14 hours later after posting $5,000 in bonds.

David C. Keffer, 45, Hutchinson, jailed Nov. 4 for allegedly violating his probation. Bond not set. Previously jailed four times for a total of 52 days between June 15, 2023, and Nov. 14, 2024. Previous jailings were on suspicion of possessing stimulants and drug paraphernalia and driving without a valid license and without liability insurance and three times being held for Kansas Department of Corrections.

Steven E. Nelson, 44, hometown not listed, arrested Monday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of interfering with law enforcement and possessing marijuana, an unspecified controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia. Held in lieu of posting a $10,000 bond.

Chanteese R. Williams, 39, hometown unclear, arrested Monday by a sheriff’s deputy on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and possessing marijuana, an unspecified controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia. Held in lieu of posting a $10,000 bond.
