NEW ARRESTS

John W. Emerick, 57, Peabody, arrested May 29 by Peabody police for failing to appear in court. Released 30 minutes later after posting $500 cash bail. Previously jailed Sept. 28 to Oct. 11, 2023, for twice failing to appear in court; Feb. 21 to 22, 2022, for allegedly violating his probation; Aug. 13, 2021, on suspicion of driving with an expired license and tag and without liability insurance; and June 20 to 24, 2021, on an unspecified warrant.

Javell Q. Evans, 22, Wichita, jailed Monday for seven days for McPherson County for allegedly violating his probation. Previously jailed July 23 to Sept. 29 for allegedly violating his probation; March 12 to April 9, 2025, for failing to appear in court; and July 25 to Aug. 19, 2024, on suspicion of burglary to obtain a firearm, vehicle burglary to commit a felony, theft of $1,500 value or greater, and theft of less than $1 in value.

John A. Ottensmeier, 43, Marion, arrested May 29 by Marion police on suspicion of criminal trespassing and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Held in lieu of posting a $500 bond. Previously jailed Feb. 26, 2021, on court orders and April 19, 2020, on suspicion of driving under the influence and failing to report a collision.

Anthony M. Rziha, 21, Wichita, jailed Monday for Kansas Department of Corrections. Previously jailed May 12, 2025, on suspicion of two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and aggravated assault.
