Couple celebrate 50th anniversary

Eugene and Margaret Ann Wetter of Norton recently observed their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple was married June 22, 1963, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Pilsen.

Margaret Ann, daughter of the late Louis and Blanche Vinduska Lentz of Pilsen, taught for 38 years in the Norton school district.

Eugene farms and was a bus driver and director of transportation for USD 211 in Norton for 35 years.

The Wetters, now retired, continue to live in rural Norton. They have a daughter, Diane Wetter, and a son, Michael Wetter and wife, Annette. They also have three grandchildren, Olivia, Abigail, and Jacob Wetter.
