Couple celebrates 60th anniverary

Gary Mott and Joyce Remmers, who were married June 3, 1962, in Marion, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

The couple lived in Wichita for the first 12 years of their marriage and then moved to Manhattan, where Gary worked for Kansas Farm Bureau until his retirement in 2003 and Joyce worked for Surgical Associates until she retired.

They have three children — Kevin Mott of Topeka, Darrin Mott of Gardner, and Alison Denny of Melbourne, Flordia — along with four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

They celebrated with a weekend of fun, food, and games arranged by their children and families. They also celebrated Joyce’s 80th birthday.
