COVID numbers lower
New COVID-19 cases in Marion County rose only slightly above numbers reported last week.
As of Monday, the county health department reported 37 active COVID cases in the county, down from 52 last week.
One additional death was reported, bringing the total to 35.
Kansas State Department of Health data show 25 new cases in the county this past week, a reduction from 33 new cases the week before.
Marion Elementary School remains on the state’s active cluster sites, with 22 cases in the last 14 days and the last onset date Nov. 19.
The county has recorded 1,897 cases since the pandemic began.
