Tierra Ave., Wichita; pleaded guilty Oct. 17 to driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked; charges of speeding (86 mph in 65 mph zone), brake light not working, and transporting alcohol in an open container dismissed; sentenced to five-day controlling jail sentence underlying six months probation; ordered to pay $393 fines and fees.

Chester R. Mercer, 309 C St., Ramona; pleaded no contest Oct. 17 to driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked; charge of speeding (69 mph in 55 mph zone) dismissed; sentenced to five-day controlling jail sentence underlying six months probation; ordered to pay $393.

Mujica, 1240 Shannon, Garden City; pleaded no contest Oct. 17 to driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; charges of transporting alcohol in an open container, failure to maintain single lane of travel, and left of center dismissed; sentenced to six-month controlling jail sentence underlying six months probation; ordered to serve 48 hours in jail, pay $953 fines and fees, submit to random drug and alcohol testing, follow recommendations of drug and alcohol evaluation, and not enter any establishment that makes most of its revenue from alcohol sales.
