David Cowley

Retired industrial parts salesman David Cowley, 73, of Florence died July 10 at Newton Medical Center.

Services were Monday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence.

Born Jan. 1, 1941, to Joseph and Bertha (Barr) Cowley, he served 30 years with the National Guard as a command sergeant major.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey of Kiowa, and two daughters, Rustina of Vashon, Washington, and Tisha of Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial fund has been established with American Legion Yute Mountain Post 75.
