Florence native David L. Gaffney, 60, died Thursday in Pueblo, Colo., where he moved six years ago.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Florence Cemetery. He will be cremated.

Born April 8, 1951, to Mathew C. and Annabelle (Ruby) Gaffney, he served for 12 years in the Army and was a mechanic after retiring from the service.

His parents and brother James preceded him in death. Survivors include children Amanda Russell and Dustin Gaffney, both of Pueblo; sisters Deloris Beard and Darlene Barrett of Wichita, Sharon Bueger of Park City, and Arlene Hysom of El Dorado; brothers Matthew Gaffney Jr. of Wichita, Christopher Gaffney of El Dorado, and Darrel Gaffney of Keller, Texas; and three grandchildren.
