EXPANDED EULOGIES

Deanna Webb

Services were Tuesday for Deanna Kay Webb, 70, who returned home to our Lord and Savior Aug. 13 at Vineyard Place Memory Care Community, in Murrieta, California.

Graveside service will be 9 a.m. today at Murrieta Cemetery.

She was born on July 22, 1950, in Hillsboro to Harold Ray and Elvera Viola Jantz.

She grew up on the Jantz family farm in Tampa, where she spent her days milking dairy cows, driving tractors, and caring for livestock, including her prize-winning Hereford, Jasper.

After graduating from Durham High School, she attended Kansas State University, where she graduated in 1972 with her bachelor’s degree in home economics with a focus on child development.

After graduation, she relocated to Colorado where she joined a traveling photography company and met her husband, Harold, in 1974.

Harold and Deanna married in 1976 in Moundridge and moved to California shortly thereafter.

They welcomed their firstborn son, Matthew, in 1978 and their second son, Ryan, in 1982.

In between the births of her sons, she worked at St. Bernardine Medical Center as a receptionist.

She demonstrated a strong penchant for helping others and spent her entire career at St. Bernardine’s, retiring in 2014 as executive vice president overseeing human resources for five hospital campuses.

While Deanna was passionate about her work, her heart was always with her family, especially her grandchildren Graysen, Olivia, and Lily.

Her love was unparalleled and no matter how long the day or how late the night, she always made time for a smile and a hug.

She displayed boundless generosity and approached everyone in a thoughtful, compassionate, and dignified manner. She touched the lives of many and created memories that will be cherished by all.

We love you and we miss you.

Our cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt is survived by her husband, Harold Webb of Menifee, California; sons Matthew Webb and wife, Amber, of Lake Elsinore, California; Ryan Webb and wife, Cecilia, of Yucaipa, California; twin brother Rodney Jantz and wife, Karen, of Stilwell; brother Bradley Jantz of Newton, and grandchildren Graysen, Olivia; and Lily.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials have been established with the Alzheimer’s Association.
