Marion County Democratic Women met for lunch Friday at Marion Senior Center.

The group will take part in Kansas Service League’s purple cap project. Caps knitted or crocheted in any shade of purple may be dropped off at the senior center. They will be given to newborns in November and December.

Contacts are being made for a Kansas Day re-enactment. Pasta was brought for Marion County Emergency Food Bank. A card was signed for member Linda Peterson.

Vice President Betty Norman conducted the business meeting. Connie Fisher closed it with a selection from “Friends through Thick and Thin.”
