A graveside service for Denise L. Magathan, 67, Marion, who died Saturday at Wheat State Manor, Whitewater, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence.

Relatives will gather with friends 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Yazel - Megli Funeral Home, Marion.

Born Aug. 12, 1957, in Marion to Jim and Earline (Perkins) Magathan, she graduated from Marion High School in 1975 and worked as an optician in Emporia, Topeka, and Texas.

She was a member of Valley United Methodist Church.

Survivors include son Ryan Dvorak of Emporia, brothers Kerry Magathan of Wichita and Monte Magathan of Marion, and a grandchild.

Her parents and brother Jim Magathan Jr. preceded her in death.

A memorial has been established with Alzheimer’s Association.
