A Sedgwick man was jailed early May 11 after being found with enough methamphetamine to provide 240 hits, enough marijuana to make 300 joints, THC edibles, other narcotics, and drug paraphernalia.

Pedro D. Martinez, 43, also had outstanding warrants, one from Morris County for violation of a court order and another from Greenwood County for violation of a conditional release order.

Deputy Matt Regier radioed dispatchers to check the license tag on a 1998 Buick Regal. It came back registered to a Valley Center owner.

Regier pulled the driver over on 80th Rd. just off US-50, apparently as it was pulling into Wildcat Creek Ranch.

When Martinez’s car was searched, Regier found illegal narcotics, including 24 grams of methamphetamine, more than 600 grams of THC edibles, and more than 100 grams of marijuana, along with other narcotics and paraphernalia.

Martinez was booked into jail on suspicion of distribution of methamphetamine, marijuana, and THC; possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia; and driving while his license was suspended.

He was held in lieu of $10,000 surety bond.

According to state department of corrections records, Martinez was sentenced to community corrections Sept. 6, 2001, for aggravated burglary; July 11, 2017, for distribution of non-specified drugs; and Sept. 30, 2018, for violation of the state offender registration act.

His community corrections for the 2018 conviction is still active.
