Documentary screening planned

A free public screening of the documentary “Unwarranted: The Senseless Death of Journalist Joan Meyer” is planned for 6:30 p.m. Feb. 1 at CAC Theater on the southwest side of Rhatigan Student Center at Wichita State University.

A panel discussion featuring producers Jaime Green and Travis Heying, Record editor Eric Meyer, and Kansas Press Association executive director Emily Bradbury will follow. Jeff Jarman, director of WSU’s Elliott School of Communication, will moderate. The event is being sponsored by the school and the Kansas chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
