A steady stream of 69 donors took part Aug. 20 in the Marion community blood drive. Joni Crofoot and Janet Bryant organized the event.

Local volunteers included Rhonda Brenzikofer, Shirley Bowers, John Yoder, Gayle Thomas, Wanda Carr, Donna Kreutziger, Jim Crofoot, Diane Richmond, and Shari Padgham. Equipment was unloaded by Kiwanis Club members and reloaded by Marion Boy Scouts.

Prairieland Partners provided physical labor and monetary contributions.

Pins of recognition for blood donors went to Ciara Holub, Vicki Hofer, and Ira Walker, one gallon; Al Ash and Andy Ash, three gallons; Rodney Richmond, Shawn Wunderlich, Donna Hajek, and Elaine Ewert, four gallons; and Neva Cooper and Terry Cochran, five gallons.

The next local drive will be at Marion High School in November.
