No contraband found
Marion High School and Marion Middle School classrooms were locked down Friday while a drug-sniffing dog from Marion County Sheriff’s Department conducted a randomly timed search of the school.
“It was strictly routine,” USD 408 Superintendent Lee Leiker said.
The district welcomes the random searches, which provide a training opportunity for the sheriff department’s dog.
“We have a standing invitation for them to come any time they want to,” Leiker said.
No contraband was found.
