Ellen Lautt

Ellen Lautt, 89, died March 4 in Shawnee. Interment was Thursday at Gnadenau Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

She was born June 17, 1924, in Bowden, N.D., to Gottlieb and Minnie (Baier) Witt. She married Ben J. Lautt on Sept. 20, 1942, in Fessenden, N.D.

She is survived by four sons, Paul of Lacey, S.D., Mark of Amarillo, Texas, Jonathon of Olathe, and Aaron of Olathe; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben J. Lautt; a son, Gary; two daughters, Grace and Jennifer; and three brothers, Fred, Arthur, and Eddie Witt.
