10:35 a.m. — Peabody ambulance made an advanced life support transfer from Hillsboro Community Hospital to Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita.
11:59 a.m. — Goessel first response responded to McPherson County for a man who fell 20 feet off a roof.
4:51 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took a woman in her 60s with a hip fracture from Peabody Care Center to Newton Medical Center.
7:51 p.m. — Lincolnville first response helped a woman get out of her chair near Wagonwheel and 310th roads.
10:58 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took a person who was unresponsive from the 300 block of East 2nd Street to Newton Medical.

5:34 a.m. — Marion ambulance responded to an unattended death in the 500 block of South Lincoln Street.
2:37 p.m. — Hillsboro fire responded to a grain truck on fire at U.S. 56 and Eagle Road.
4:20 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took a woman in her 70s who fell in the 700 block of North Vine Street to Newton Medical. Peabody fire provided lifting assistance.
Thursday
7:32 a.m. — Peabody ambulance responded to an unattended death in the 200 block of North Pine Street.
11:50 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance made a transfer from HCH to Newton Medical.
2:27 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took a woman in her 70s who fell at Peabody Care Center to Newton Medical.
2:34 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a LifeTeam crew from Hillsboro airport to HCH then back to the airport.
10:31 p.m. — Marion ambulance responded to the 1100 block of Denver Street for a woman in her 80s who fell. No transport was made.

12:04 a.m. — Durham and Hillsboro fire responded to railroad ties on fire near Falcon and 270th roads.
10:57 p.m. — Hillsboro fire responded to a lightning strike on a house in the 300 block of North Main Street.
Saturday
11:31 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance took a woman who fell and hit her head at Goessel Elementary School to Newton Medical. Goessel first response also responded.
2:59 p.m. — Tampa ambulance took a man who had fallen unconscious from the 400 block of D Street in Ramona to Herington Municipal Hospital.
6:45 p.m. — Marion fire responded to a false fire alarm at Historic Elgin Hotel.
10:48 p.m. — Peabody ambulance took a woman in her 60s with breathing difficulty from the 200 block of North Maple Street to Newton Medical. Peabody fire provided lifting assistance.
Sunday
5:15 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance took a woman in her 70s who fell at Bethesda Home to Newton Medical. Goessel first response also responded.
Monday
12:07 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to 120th Road between Eagle and Falcon roads for a man in his 70s who fell. He had no injuries but needed help standing. No transport was made.
8:14 a.m. — Peabody ambulance responded to the 500 block of North Locust Street for a young girl with involuntary movement in her sleep. No transport was made.
9:43 p.m. — Goessel fire responded to a possible lightning strike. No fire was found.

Misdemeanor theft, burglary
Valeree Hett of Emporia reported the theft of a $350 mouthpiece from her vehicle’s ignition interlock system between 11p.m. July 27 and 8:30 a.m. July 28. Police recovered the mouthpiece July 29.
SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
Assault and battery
Alcohol and drug use are suspected in an alleged beating at 8:50 p.m. July 31 at a residence on Lakeshore Drive at Marion County Park and Lake.
The victim was identified as 73-year-old retiree Donald Alcorn, who lives in the residence. The suspect, suspected of using drugs and alcohol, was described in the report as a friend.
The report did not identify the suspect. However, jail bookings indicate that Michael Richmond, 51, of Marion was booked on charges of assault and battery the next day.
