Feb. 7

12:32 a.m. — A person in pain in the 500 block of A St. was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital.

1:38 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transferred a patient from HCH to Newton Medical Center.

6:31 p.m. — A person dispatchers reported as not breathing in the 600 block of S. Roosevelt St. was transported by Marion ambulance to St. Luke.

9:05 p.m. — A man who fell at 11 Park Court was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

10:38 p.m. — A person having a possible seizure on US-56 between Limestone and Mustang Rds. was transported to HCH by Marion ambulance.

Feb. 8

12:38 a.m. — A person with side pain in the 600 block of S. Roosevelt St. was transported to St. Luke.

8:54 a.m. — A person was reported by dispatchers as having been thrown from a vehicle in a rollover accident in the area of US-77 and 330th Rd. Upon arriving at the scene, county EMS director Ed Debesis advised they could disregard the call. No transportation was reported, and Lincolnville first response and fire responded.

11:26 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance performed a basic-life-support transfer from HCH to Newton Medical.

THURSDAY

10 p.m. — Marion ambulance performed an advanced-life-support transfer from St. Luke to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

FRIDAY

8:36 a.m. — A man who had fallen in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St. in Hillsboro was transported by Marion ambulance to HCH.

Noon — A man was having difficulty breathing at Hillsboro Senior Center, and dispatchers informed Marion EMS that the man’s pulse was “erratic.” He was transported to HCH.

1:47 p.m. — Marion fire responded to a report of a fire that was started by welding sparks on Sunflower Rd. between 170th and 180th Rds.

3:13 p.m. — A grass fire in a ditch along US-56 a quarter mile east of Diamond Rd. was reported. Hillsboro fire, Lehigh fire, Tampa fire, and Marion ambulance responded to the fire, which quickly spread to an adjacent pasture. Responders spent roughly two hours battling the blaze, with all units reported as being clear of the scene at 5:18 p.m.

6:15 p.m. — Hillsboro fire went back out to the area of the previous fire to put out a tree that was still on fire.

8:14 p.m. — A report of a person with a cut prompted Marion ambulance to respond to Hillsboro High School. The person was transported by private vehicle to HCH.

8:15 p.m. — Peabody ambulance was called to Alexanderfeld Church near Hillsboro for a person with heart problems. Peabody ambulance arrived to the scene at 8:31 p.m. Marion ambulance went to the church after they were done at Hillsboro High School, and a person was transported to HCH.

8:43 p.m. — While Marion ambulance was involved with the Alexanderfeld church call, dispatchers paged them to respond to a medical alert at a home on Lois Lane at the county lake. Dispatchers then called Florence ambulance, which transported the person to St. Luke.

SATURDAY

2:52 p.m. — A person was reported as having abdominal pain in the 600 block of N. Wilson St. in Hillsboro. Marion ambulance transported the person to HCH.

4:25 a.m. — Marion ambulance was called to 2 Lois Lane at Marion County Lake for a man who had fallen and needed assistance. No transportation was provided.

4:27 a.m. — A gas meter was reported as hit in an alley between Birch and Ash Sts. in Hillsboro. Hillsboro fire responded to the scene.

5:12 a.m. — Marion ambulance transferred a patient from HCH to Wesley Medical.

6:11 a.m. — An elderly woman who fell and hit her head in the 400 block of N. Locust St. was transported by Peabody ambulance to Newton Medical.

8:34 a.m. — Marion ambulance responded to Country Haven Inn in Hillsboro for a woman who was not feeling well. Transportation was not specified.

9:08 a.m. — A woman who had fallen and had a gash behind her ear was transported from Parkside to HCH by Marion ambulance.

SUNDAY

12:20 a.m. —A man not feeling well in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St. in Hillsboro was transported to HCH by Marion ambulance.

4:39 a.m. — A person who could not move or get out of their vehicle after an accident near K-15 and 80th Rd. was transported by Peabody ambulance to Newton Medical. Goessel first response and fire and Hillsboro rescue also responded to the scene.

9:09 a.m. — Marion ambulance was called to the 200 block of S. Ash St. for a medical alarm. Marion ambulance was then dismissed after an officer on the scene said it was an accidental push of the alarm button.

6:09 p.m. — A person having trouble breathing in the 400 block of E. Main St. in Goessel was transported to Newton Medical by Hillsboro ambulance. Goessel first response also was at the scene.

9:09 p.m. — An elderly female who reportedly pulled out a catheter was transported from 8 Prairie Lane to St. Luke by Marion ambulance.

monday

10:12 a.m. — A person who had a possible heart attack was transported from St. Luke Clinic to Newton Medical by Marion ambulance.

11:09 a.m. — After a report of seeing and smelling smoke, Hillsboro fire was called to a home in the 100 block of S. Birch St. Hillsboro fire reported the smoke came from a furnace malfunction.

1:05 p.m. — Peabody fire responded to a grass fire near 110th and Pawnee Rds.

9:02 p.m. — A truck reportedly flipped once on 60th Rd. between Old Mill and Pawnee Rds. A person was transported by Peabody ambulance to Wichita due to Newton Medical diverting them. Peabody fire and Florence ambulance also responded to the scene.
