March 14

12:42 p.m. — Marion ambulance and Peabody first response placed on standby per officer request. They were told they could disregard the call at 12:54 p.m.

5:49 p.m. — A woman in her 80s who fell and hit her head was transported by Florence ambulance to Newton Medical Center from 90th Rd. between Old Mill and Pawnee Rds. Peabody first response also was called to the scene.

10:04 p.m. — A woman in her 60s who fell, hit her head, and was bleeding was transported by Hillsboro ambulance from Durham to Hillsboro Community Hospital. Durham first response also responded.

March 15

5:08 a.m. — A woman who had fallen out of bed and was complaining of hip pain was transported by Tampa ambulance from Remington Rd. between 270th and 280th Rds. to St. Luke Hospital.

7:30 a.m. — A person in respiratory distress at Bethesda Homes in Goessel was transported by Marion ambulance to Newton Medical.

1:08 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to Hillsboro High School for a seizure. A person was transported to HCH.

3:13 p.m. — A man in his 60s with a severe nosebleed was transported by Hillsboro ambulance from 190th Rd. between Jade and Kanza Rds. to HCH.

6:38 p.m. — Peabody ambulance responded to the 300 block of N. Elm St. for a man who suffered a lacerated wrist from striking a window during a domestic dispute. A tourniquet was placed on the man’s arm, and Marion ambulance was called to provide a paramedic. Marion was dismissed when a Peabody paramedic was located, and the man was transported to Wesley Medical Center.

7:28 p.m. — Hillsboro fire was called to an alarm going off at Tabor College in the townhouse dorms, but it ended up being a fire drill.

THURSDAY

3:57 a.m. — A person in their 90s who was reported by dispatchers as aspirated was transported by Marion ambulance from the 400 block of Briarwood Lane in Hillsboro to HCH.

9:30 a.m. — A person having difficulty breathing in the 400 block of N. Walnut St. was transported by Peabody ambulance to Newton Medical.

7:27 p.m. — Goessel fire responded to Bethesdas Homes for a fire alarm that was going off.

FRIDAY

1:44 p.m. — A man who was believed to have had a stroke and had history of strokes was transported by Tampa ambulance from the 100 block of Craine St. in Lost Springs to Herington Hospital. Lincolnville first response also was called to the scene.

4:45 p.m. — Marion ambulance transported a person from St. Luke Clinic to Newton Medical Center.

5:59 p.m. — Peabody ambulance responded to Peabody Health and Rehab for an undetermined reason. No transportation was provided.

6:25 p.m. — A woman who had reportedly passed out in the 200 block of E. 9th St. was transported by Peabody ambulance to HCH.

10:43 p.m. — Peabody ambulance performed an advanced-life-support transfer from St. Luke to Wesley Medical.

SATURDAY

11:47 a.m. — A one-vehicle rollover that happened near US-56 and Nighthawk Rd. did not require anyone be transported from the scene. Marion ambulance, Marion rescue, and Marion fire responded.

1:13 p.m. — Harvey County requested mutual aid from Peabody fire at NE 96th and Webb Rds. near Walton for a fire.

1:59 p.m. — Goessel fire was called for assistance at a controlled burn that was out of control on Holly Rd. north of 120th Rd.

6:16 p.m. — A person who had reportedly cut their neck with a knife in the 100 block of N. Walnut St. was transported by Peabody ambulance plus a Newton Medical paramedic to Wesley Medical in Wichita.

6:38 p.m. — Lost Springs fire responded to a grass fire east of US-77 and 340th Rd.

7:58 p.m. — A report of a ditch fire near US-56 and K-15 behind the Hillsboro Veterinary Clinic prompted Hillsboro fire to be called.

SUNDAY

12:50 a.m. — Goessel fire responded to a report of a flare-up from a controlled burn on Holly Rd. north of 120th Rd.

3:20 a.m. — Peabody fire reported themselves as en route to the 200 block of N. Olive St. for unspecified reasons. At 3:28 a.m., Peabody ambulance was called to the same address for a report of a garage on fire. Marion fire was also called to the scene.

8:32 a.m. — A man in his 50s who dispatchers reported as “sitting on the toilet and was not getting up” was transported by Marion ambulance from the 600 block of N. Walnut St. to St. Luke.

12:07 p.m. — Peabody ambulance responded to the 800 block of N. Main St. in Florence to assist a woman in getting back up after having fallen. No transportation was provided.

2:09 p.m. — A tree was reported as on fire at 250th Rd. and US-77. Lincolnville fire was called to the scene. At 2:31 p.m., Marion ambulance was called to respond to the scene for a fireman reported as having an asthma attack. At 2:30 p.m., Marion fire and Lost Springs fire were also called to the scene. Tampa fire reported the fire was extinguished at 6:35 p.m.

5:40 p.m. — A grass fire was reported on US-50 at an unclear location. Peabody fire responded.

8:24 p.m. — A Goessel firefighter called from McPherson County where he had been assisting with a fire to ask for more Goessel responders at Chisholm Trail Rd. between 270th and 280th Rds.

10:44 p.m. — Hillsboro responded to a report of embers in a tree from a previous controlled burn on US-56 between Kanza and Limestone Rds.

monday

10:19 a.m. — An elderly woman having a possible heart attack was transported from Remington Rd. between 270th and 280th Rds. in Pilsen to St. Luke.

10:46 a.m. — Durham fire was called to north of Chisholm Rd. for a report of a lot of smoke in the area. At 11:05 a.m., the reporting party told dispatchers the smoke they saw had disappeared.

1:21 p.m. — Peabody fire was called to a report of a large amount of smoke one block south of Westview Manor on Peabody St. Peabody fire was then told to disregard as it was a controlled burn.

1:52 p.m. — Tampa fire responded to Quail Creek Rd. north of 280th Rd. for a controlled burn that got out of control. Marion fire was called for assistance.

5:30 p.m. — A woman who fell a couple days prior and was suffering from hand tremors and slurred speech was transported by Hillsboro ambulance from Parkside Homes to HCH.

7:25 p.m. — Peabody ambulance transported a person having a seizure from the 100 block of S. Olive St. to Newton Medical.

8:20 p.m. — Marion fire was called to a grass fire on Quail Creek Rd. between 170th and 180th Rds. At 8:31 p.m., Marion fire was told to disregard the call because it was a controlled burn.
