These broadcasts regarding fire and ambulance calls were monitored this past week by the newspaper.

sept. 26

7:41 p.m. — A patient at Hillsboro Community Hospital was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Newton Medical Center.

Sept. 27

7:43 a.m. — A woman in her 50s who lost consciousness and with a possible seizure at the circle drive at Tabor College was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

5:07 p.m. — A woman in her 70s who had a possible broken foot after stepping in a hole and falling was taken by Hillsboro ambulance from the 400 block of S. Washington St. to HCH.

6:40 p.m. — Hillsboro firefighters investigated a smoke detector alarm at El Lorito restaurant. It was determined it was “just a couple of plates of sizzling fajitas” that triggered the alarm.

thursday

1:24 a.m. — A woman in her 50s with surgical sutures that broke open was taken by Tampa ambulance from the 400 block of Columbus St. in Tampa to HCH.

4:35 a.m. — A woman in her 60s with high blood pressure in the 600 block of E. Marion St. in Goessel was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Newton Medical Center. Goessel first responders did not respond to the page, but Goessel firefighters assisted.

1:19 p.m. — A woman who felt like she was going to pass out in the 1500 block of Victory Ln. was taken by Marion ambulance to St. Luke Hospital.

3:12 p.m. — A woman who fell in an apartment in the Parkview congregate was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

3:40 p.m. — A vehicle fire at 180th and Goldenrod Rds. was extinguished by Hillsboro firefighters.

3:47 p.m. — A patient at St. Luke was taken by Marion ambulance to Via Christi – St. Francis.

friday

7:28 a.m. — Marion and Hillsboro ambulances and Marion firefighters responded to a two-vehicle rollover accident at US-56 and K-256 west of Marion. A Lifeteam helicopter was directed to land at St. Luke, where Marion ambulance took one individual. No radio transmissions were recorded confirming

8:10 a.m. — As Hillsboro ambulance was leaving the scene of the previous accident, it was redirected to 170th and Alamo Rds. for a one-vehicle rollover accident. Goessel first responders and firefighters also responded. Hillsboro rescue was en route but told to disregard. A dispatcher reported one individual involved in the accident suffered minor scrapes. No one was transported to a hospital.

8:32 a.m. — A woman in 70s with abdominal pains was taken by Marion ambulance from the 1500 block of E. Main St. to St. Luke.

11:49 p.m. — After Lehigh firefighters did not respond to a page, Hillsboro firefighters and ambulance responded to a possible phosphine gas leak at the coop in Lehigh. Phosphine gas is often used for pest control with stored grain. Firefighters set up a perimeter to control traffic and accompanied a coop employee with a phosphine monitor on an inspection. No traces of gas were found.

saturday

11:55 a.m. — Peabody ambulance responded to the 600 block of Walnut St. for a woman in her 50s reported to have chest pains and high blood pressure. No one was taken to a hospital.

9:54 p.m. — A male reported to be having a panic attack on 150th Rd. between Diamond and Eagle Rds. was examined by Hillsboro ambulance. No one was taken to a hospital.

sunday

12:11 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance returned to scene of its prior call on 150th Rd. for a male reported to be hallucinating and fearful. The individual was taken to HCH.

12:00 p.m. — Hillsboro firefighters investigated a smoke alarm at Dollar General. No fire or smoke was found.

1:10 p.m. — A individual needing a hip x-ray at Parkside Homes was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

3:56 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance took an individual from HCH back to Parkside Homes.

8:52 p.m. — Marion ambulance, fire, and rescue, Hillsboro ambulance, Lifeteam helicopter, and Chase County ambulance were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on K-150 at Xavier Rd. After an initial assessment of the scene, Hillsboro, Lifeteam, and Chase County were dismissed. No individuals were transported to a hospital.

monday

7:55 a.m. — Peabody ambulance was dispatched for a man lying on the ground near the grain elevator on 2nd St. next to the railroad tracks. At 8 a.m., law enforcement requested a coroner.

10:08 a.m. — A student having a seizure in a weight room at Tabor College was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

1:42 p.m. — A person who fell in an apartment at Parkside Homes was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH.

2:42 p.m. — A patient at HCH was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to Wesley Woodlawn Hospital in Wichita.

5:17 p.m. — A woman in her 70s with abdominal pain in the 1500 block of E. Main St. was taken by Marion ambulance to St. Luke.

11:22 p.m. — A patient at St. Luke was taken by Marion ambulance to Salina Regional Medical Center.
