OCt. 5

10:19 a.m. — A 70-year-old man having a possible heart attack was taken by Marion ambulance to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita from the 300 block of Roosevelt St., Marion.

11:12 a.m. — A fire was extinguished at a gas plant near Remington and 240th Rds. by Marion firefighters.

4:19 p.m. — An 48-year-old man who passed out was taken to Hillsboro Community Hospital by Hillsboro ambulance.

5:46 p.m. — A 30-year-old man who was found passed out in a vehicle at Flying Eagle, Florence, refused to be taken to a hospital by Marion ambulance.

Oct. 6

4:26 a.m. — A one-vehicle accident near Indigo and 150th Rds. was responded to by Hillsboro ambulance and firefighters. One person declined to be taken to a hospital.

7:50 p.m. — A 60-year-old woman who fell and had leg pain was taken by Marion ambulance to St. Luke Hospital from the 700 block of Weldon St., Marion.

10:40 p.m. — A 70-year-old woman having trouble breathing was taken to Accession Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, by Hillsboro ambulance from near K-15 and 170th Rd. Hillsboro firefighters helped.

thursday

1:35 p.m. — A vacant house was on fire in the 300 block of Miller St., Marion, was extinguished by Marion, Hillsboro, Florence and Peabody firefighters.

friday

4:26 a.m. — A St. Luke patient was transferred to Accession Via Christi St. Francis, Manhattan, by Marion ambulance.

11:28 a.m. — A medical alarm company call in a report of a woman who fell in the 200 block of N. Cedar St., Marion. It was an accidental push.

12:20 p.m. — A 60-year-old woman who was not feeling well was taken to St. Luke by Marion ambulance from the 1500 block of Victory Lane, Marion.

5:08 p.m. — A medical alarm that was activated in the 200 block of N. Cedar St., Marion, it was an accidental push of her alarm button.

6:10 p.m. — A grass fire near Clover and 170th Rds. was extinguished by Marion firefighters.

7:27 p.m. — An HCH patient was transferred to McPherson Hospital by Hillsboro ambulance.

11:23 p.m. — An 82-year-old woman who fell was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance from the 100 block of S. Floral St., Hillsboro.

saturday

8:22 a.m. — A 19-year-old man who was hyperventilating at Tabor College was taken to HCH by Hillsboro ambulance.

6:09 p.m. — A 60-year-old man with a high temperature at Peabody Health and Rehab was taken to Newton Med by Peabody ambulance.

9:48 p.m. — A recreational vehicle that rolled near 240th Rd. and U.S.-77 was responded to by Marion rescue, ambulance and Lincolnville firefighters. One person refused to be taken to a hospital.

sunday

5:00 p.m. — An 80-year-old woman who was unconscious and breathing was taken by Hillsboro ambulance to HCH from near Eagle and 210th Rds.

11:17 a.m. — A general fire alarm at Parkside Homes was answered by Hillsboro firefighters. No fire or smoke was found and the alarm panel was reset.

4:49 p.m. — A gas smell from near 260th and Zebulon Rds. was answered by Marion firefighters.

4:59 p.m. — Marion, Florence, Hillsboro, and Peabody ambulance and Peabody and Florence firefighters and rescue squad were called to a two-vehicle accident near US-50 and Old Mill Rd. One patient was transferred by an air ambulance to a the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City and one patient was transferred to Newton Med by Peabody ambulance, two patients were pronounced dead at the scene. Tampa ambulance was on stand-by in Pilsen.

monday

3:03 a.m. — A semi tractor and trailer that rolled onto its side near US-56 and Eagle Rd. was responded to by Hillsboro ambulance, firefighters and rescue squad. One person declined to be taken to a hospital.

8:21 a.m. — An 88-year-old man who slid out of bed in the 200 block of S. Buller St., Goessel, was helped up and declined to be taken to a hospital by Hillsboro ambulance.

5:17 p.m. — A 75-year-old woman having difficulty breathing 700 block of Lawrence Ave. Durham, was taken to Newton Med by Tampa ambulance from the 700 block of Lawrence Ave., Durham.
