F. Delores Henke

F. Delores Henke, 82, of Emporia, died Jan. 31, 2009, at Emporia Presbyterian Manor.

Born Aug. 25, 1926, at Herington, she was the daughter of Ray and Frances Johnson.

She was a nurse.

She married Marvin D. Henke June 6, 1948, at the First Presbyterian Church of Herington. He preceded her in death Nov. 7, 1998.

She and her husband lived on a farm between Lincolnville and Lost Springs before moving to Herington in 1978. The past five years she lived in Emporia.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherrie Herbel of Kent, Wash.; a son, Alan Henke of Emporia; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were today (Wednesday) at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Herington with Pastor Bill Peterson officiating.

Burial followed at Sunset Hill Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with the church and may be sent in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, 404 S. Broadway, Herington KS 67449-3038.
