Fall festival seeks to expand

Peabody’s second annual Fall Festival, coinciding with arts and crafts festivals in Marion and Hillsboro, will add a wiffle ball tournament.

“That’s one thing we want to do, is spread it out a bit more,” committee chairman Ginger Whitney said. “Then people can visit the Morgan House if it’s open, and the historical museum, then go to the car show. We try to make people walk the sidewalks and enjoy the 1880s downtown.”

In addition to a car show at Affordable Street Rods, the festival will bring back other activities, including a scarecrow competition, bounce houses, and live music from Tallgrass Express String Band.
