Farm calls to family
Even in retirement

To make their retirement home at 510 S. Wilson, Hillsboro, just right, Raymond and Margie Just wanted to add on to their family room.
The 14-by-16-foot has been constructed and it only needs to be adorned with drapes and decorations.
“It takes time to get things like you want it,” Raymond Just said.
While the Justs have been living in Hillsboro for three months, Raymond said his heart is still on his farm south of town. He built the original farm buildings in 1974 and rebuilt them in 1994.
Raymond Just said he had been farming since he was old enough to drive a tractor at 10 years old.
“There comes a time to retire from the farm,” he said. “I thought it was as good a time as any.”
The Justs’ son and grandson operate the farm, even though Raymond Just owns the farm and will help his son on occasion.
“My home is still on a farm,” Raymond Just said.
