Florence seniors choose teachers

Florentine Seniors selected three area teachers to be recognized by Senior Citizens of Marion County in October at their monthly meeting July 11.

Connie Omstead, Linda Allison, and Kathleen Ludwig were chosen, and the Florentines plan to recognize other teachers.

The Florentines also signed a sympathy card for Jean Shipman and “miss you” cards for Lenora Grahm and Rose Vinduska.

Harold and Shirley Grinstead celebrated their 55th anniversary, and Betty Ireland won two candles in a door prize drawing.

Those present included Dale Miller, Bill Robinson, the Grinsteads, Sharri Wilson, Omstead, Lenora Smith, Eileen Hallowell, Hazel Klothier, Elsie Jouanne, and Ireland.

The next meeting will be Aug. 8.
