Gail "Bill" Dunn

Gail William “Bill” Dunn, 96, died Sunday in Valley Center.

He was born in Marion to Clyde William and Fern (Pollitt) Dunn. He married Arlene Lucille Davison on Aug. 10, 1940. He was a U.S. Air Force and World War II veteran. He retired from Sedgwick County as a welder and previously worked for Boeing, Cessna, and Beechcraft.

He is survived by his children, Beverly Davis of Valley Center and Bradley Dunn of Park City; a sister, Ruth Spinden of Fort Collins, Colo.; a brother, Max Dunn of Newton; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Arlene Dunn; his parents, Clyde and Fern Dunn; and two brothers, Don Dunn and Ralph Dunn.

Services were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Valley Center First United Methodist Church, 560 N. Park, Valley Center. Visitation was to precede the service.

A memorial has been established with the Good Samaritan Fund at Asbury Park, Newton.
