Gene Roberts

Lester “Gene” Roberts, 71, Herington, died Aug. 8, 2008.

Born June 6, 1937, at Ozarks, Mo., he was the son of Lester and Joy (Deeds) Roberts. On Nov. 26, 1976, he married Lorraine Rohloff at Herington.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; daughter, Lori Roberts of Herington; brother, Eddie Roberts of Ozark, Mo.; four sisters, Joy Ingram of Yakima, Wash., Rosa Mell of Long Beach, Calif., Grace Stevens of Ozark, Mo., and Marie Van Camp of Ava, Mo.

Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Herington. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
