Gerald Suffield

Graveside services for Gerald Eugene Suffield, 75, who died Thursday at his home in Sublette, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Copeland Cemetery.

Born Nov. 16, 1944, to Mildred Evelyn and Lloyd Janny Suffield in Newton, he attended a country school near Burns until eighth grade and graduated from Marion High School in 1962.

He married Bonnie May Ocker on Dec. 18, 1976, at Sublette Southern Baptist Church.

He is survived by wife Bonnie, of the home; daughter Melissa Dusin of Satanta, Kansas; granddaughters Lauren and Alison; brother Edwin “Butch” Suffield of Peabody; and sisters Wilma Hybsha, Juanita Birkle, and Linda Olsen, all of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David Suffield, and sister Sharolyn Hett.

Memorials have been established with St. Catherine Hospice and Copeland Cemetery.
