Current weather has presented challenges early on with practices, but coach Max Venable is expecting great numbers this season. He has been able to cover some of the early fundamentals that are needed at this point of the season.

Marion High School and Centre High School, like last year, will have a cooperative team.

Marion will be comprised of eight boys and two girls with three returning players from last season.

Centre will bring six boys and four returning players.

“Given our collective experience, we will be looking to field two JV teams and one varsity team comprised of our returning players,” Venable said.

“We are excited to teach the game of golf to our new players and continue to build the skills of our returning players.”

“This is a great group of players with a strong interest in the game,” he said.
