Grateful after fire

To the editor:

We would like to thank our fine fire departments for their quick response to the pasture fire on Sunday. Preston Williams did an excellent job of directing the fire fighters in a professional way.

The strong winds made it difficult to contain the fire. Thanks to them for risking their lives to protect our property. Thanks also to our neighbors, Nick and Brendan Kraus and Greg and Mary Beth Bowers, for warning us. We are very thankful.
