McKenzee Remmers and Emily Hague finished in the medals Thursday at the Heart of American league cross-county meet at Remington High School.
Remmers covered the flat course around the school grounds in 17 minutes, 47.58 seconds to place 12th, and Hague was close behind, clocking 18:00.33 to finish 14th.
Meggan Freese finished one place outside the medalists in 16th, with a time of 18:23.57. Other Marion runners were Kaylie Waner, 49th in 22:56.25, Sam Fugett, 51st in 23:12.31, Brittany Hett, 52nd in 23:13.83, and Kaitlyn Goebel, 54th in 23:49.60.
Logan Waner finished with the best time for Marion runners in the boys 5-K race, clocking 21:25.47 to place 24th. Taylor Fahey finished 28th in 22:22.48, and Quinton Hett came in 35th at 22:52.38.
Marion will compete Saturday at the regional meet at Lake Afton.
