Gary and Karen Nelson of Lincoln and Keith and Anne Collett of Chapman announce the engagement of their children, Sara Nelson and Hank Collett.

The bride elect is a 2008 graduate of Smoky Valley High School in Lindsborg. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 2011 with a degree in exercise science and is currently a student in the physical therapy program at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

The prospective groom is a 2008 graduate of Marion High School. He was commissioned as an aviation officer in the Army in 2012 and is currently assigned to 1st Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment at Fort Bragg, N.C.

Lawrence and Berniece Gayer of McPherson, Howard and Beth Collett of Marion, Doc and Ruth Gray of Iowa, and the late Norman and Harriet Nelson are grandparents of the couple.

The couple has planned a May wedding.
