Harla R. Cheek of Hamilton died Nov. 6 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City.

She was born Sept. 9, 1956 to Harlan A. and Evelyn O. (Logan) Zager in Council Grove.

Cheek was a homemaker and certified nurse assistant for Home Health care. She graduated from White City High School in 1974.

She is survived by a daughter, Penny Swarts of Abilene; a son, Tenton Cheek of Wichita; a brother, Terry Zager of Wichita; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Galen Zager, and her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hamilton United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.

A memorial fund has been established for Harla Cheek Memorial for family assistance.
