Harriet Bruner

Harriet A. Bruner, 98, of Marion, died May 1 at her home at Marion Reservoir.

Born Nov. 17, 1912, in Emporia, to Harry and Nellie (Reynolds) Easley, she married Daniel Warren Bruner on July 25, 1934.

They farmed near Florence. She also was employed by Graham Appliance as a secretary.

Her husband; siblings Jean Chambers and Virginia and Frank Easley; and granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Bruner preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Bob of Florence; a sister, Francis Herd of Newton; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited preceding the funeral mass Tuesday at St. Mark’s Catholic Church-Holy Family Parish, Marion.

Burial will be in the Burns Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas or the church in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
