Henry “Hank” Sklenar, 92, of Marion, died March 25 at St. Luke Hospital, Marion.
He was born May 18, 1918, near Pilsen, to John and Emma Sklenar.
He attended school at Tampa.
Seymour Packing Company employed him until it closed in 1969. He then was employed by the City of Marion until he retired in 1983. After retirement, he operated a lawnmower repair business at his home.
On Dec. 8, 1946, he married Erma Fisher. They lived in Marion for 45 years until her death Aug. 22, 1991. Lillian Stenzel was his companion for 12 years until her death Dec. 9, 2007. Seven siblings also preceded him.
Survivors include his adopted family of Lillian Stenzel and other relatives.
Services were Tuesday at Zeiner Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry King officiated.
Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with St. Luke Foundation in care of the funeral home.
