Marion High School senior Jordan Hett scored a fourth-place finish Thursday at Hesston.
The Hesston Invitational, with 46 teams competing from all classifications, was the largest regular season meet in which Marion will compete.
Hett placed fourth in the senior division with a time of 17 minutes, 27 seconds. Patrick McCarty clocked in at 19:08 in his first race of the season, finishing 14th, Jacob Cope placed 24th with a time of 19:41, Clark Kroupa finished 31st with a 21:05 mark, and Nicholas Davies ran the course in 30:26, good enough for 53rd.
Timothy Knolla placed 14th in the junior division with a time of 19:54. Jared Hague ran a 22:50 for 33rd.
Quinton Hett finished 23rd among sophomores with a time of 21:52, and Malachi Sipple placed 22nd in the freshman division in 30:27.
McKenzee Remmers had the highest finish and fastest time for the Marion girls, placing 10th in the freshman division with a time of 18:28. Shyla Harris also ran in the freshman division, finishing 40th with a time of 24:06.
Kaelyn Thierolf and Erin Meierhoff raced in the junior division. Thierolf circled the course in 18:47, placing 13th, and Meierhoff ran 21:08 to finish 29th.
Marion’s next meet is Thursday in Peabody.
