Hillsboro
7th in tennis
Hillsboro finished seventh in an eight-team boys’ tennis invitational for which it was host April 6.
Classical of Wichita stole the show, and Smoky Valley came in a close second.
“Romero Cruz played an outstanding third match, serving well and attacking the net after short balls,” coach John Ruder said.
In doubles, Colton Rempel and Luke Isaac are starting to find a rhythm and should start to show improvement with each match to come, Ruder said.
The Trojans will be in Towanda on Thursday and new player Casen Stienert will get his introduction to singles play.
