Hillsboro library schedules movies
Three movies will be shown Saturday at Hillsboro Public Library.
At 1:30 p.m., a movie will tell the story of Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco. Her new city causes her joy, fear, anger, sadness, disgust, and conflict on how to navigate life in a new house, city, and school.
A 3:15 p.m. movie follows the life and career of country music star Dolly Parton.
At 7 p.m., a 2019 movie about a dog named Enzo who wants to be reincarnated as a human will be shown. Enzo reflects on his life and relationship with a Formula One race car driver who understands that the techniques needed on the racetrack can be used to successfully navigate everyday life.
Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Free popcorn and water will be provided.
Later this summer, the library plans a Book Swap and a Free Clothing Giveaway.
The library’s monthly book club meets at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of each month in the library. “The Midnight Library,” by Matt Haig, will be the topic of the July 10 meeting. Adults are welcome to join at any time.
