Feb. 13: A child custody dispute in the 300 block of North Birch Street was reported. Suspicious activity was checked at the sports complex.
Feb. 14: Assistance was provided with safety issues at the sports complex and at the Hillsboro Family Aquatics Center. An officer presented a drug awareness class to EMS personnel at the city building. A dog complaint was checked in the 500 block of East First Street.
Feb. 15: An officer attended the city council meeting. An identity theft complaint was filed in the 100 block of East D Street. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with a reckless driving complaint. A dog complaint was checked in the 500 block of South Main Street.
Feb. 16: Peabody police received assistance with a search for burglary suspects. Several bicycles were registered. A dog complaint was checked in the 300 block of South Main Street.
Thursday: An officer testified in a jury trial. A traffic complaint was checked in the 300 block of North Ash Street. An officer worked two non-injury accidents in the downtown area. A dog complaint was checked in the 500 block of South Main Street. Suspicious activity was checked in the 200 block of East First Street. A dog had been left in a vacant, secured residence; an officer recognized the dog and left to retrieve the owner; when the officer returned to the residence with the dog’s owner, the dog had been removed. A report was made of a silver truck with several youths yelling at pedestrians. A traffic complaint was reported on Ash Street and a driver was cited for operating a vehicle with a loud exhaust and no insurance.
Friday: Two suspicious people were checked in the 700 block of East D Street. A non-injury accident was investigated in the 200 block of S. Main Street. An identity theft complaint was filed in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. Harassment was reported in the 900 block of East D Street, when an individual reported being harassed by text messaging. A criminal threat complaint was filed, when an individual reported being threatened by his ex-girlfriend during a child custody discussion.
Saturday: Assistance was provided to the sheriff’s office with a medical call. A traffic complaint was checked at Ash and D streets. A dog complaint was reported in the 300 block of South Ash Street.
