Police report

Sept. 6: A Marion County sheriff deputy was assisted with an injury accident. Dog complaints were filed in the 300 block of South Ash Street and 200 block of West Grand Avenue. A civil stand-by in the 500 block of South Washington Street resulted in an adult male being arrested on an outstanding warrant. A gas skip was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street.

Sept. 7: A traffic complaint was checked at D and Ash streets. An out-of-control customer was reported in the 300 block of North Ash Street. A prowler complaint was filed at D and Ash streets.

Sept. 8: Stolen property was recovered in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. A dog complaint was filed in the 100 block of East Grand Avenue. A trespass complaint in the 300 block of North Birch Street was determined to be a civil matter. An individual was fingerprinted for employment purposes. An out-of-control juvenile was reported in the 100 block of South Ash Street.

Sept. 9: Assistance was provided to the sheriff’s department in locating a possible domestic disturbance, reportedly on U.S. 56 when an individual reported seeing a male striking a female inside a moving vehicle. Dog complaints were checked in the 300 block of South Main Street and the 100 block of South Washington Street. Littering by juveniles was reported in the 100 block of West Grand Avenue. Officers received emergency preparedness training at city hall. A noise complaint was checked in the 500 block of East First Street.

Sept. 10: Officers assisted with Bucks for Buckles at the schools. The sheriff’s department received assistance with a report of a reckless driver on 190th Road. Officers provided a children’s identification program during Big Truck Night. A domestic disturbance was reported in the 400 block of East First Street but was determined to be a verbal argument between a husband and wife.

Sept. 11: A suspicious person was reported on Willow Drive. A dog complaint was checked in the 300 block of South Main Street. A disturbance of neighbors arguing in the 300 block of South Ash Street was reported. The police canine searched a residence in the 300 block of South Ash Street. Suspicious activity was checked in the 100 block of East Grand Avenue. A rape was reported in the 300 block of South Birch Street and remains under investigation.

Sept. 12: An individual reported injuries sustained during an assault the previous night. Suspicious activity was checked in Memorial Park.
