Police report
Feb. 7: A juvenile was reported missing in the 200 block of East First Street. Suspicious activities were checked in the 800 block of East D Street and the 200 block of North Ash Street.
Feb. 8: A 911 disconnect was reported in the 200 block of Willow Drive. A possible theft was reported in the 800 block of East D Street. The item was located and not missing.
Feb. 9: Abandoned property was seized in the 200 block of South Lincoln Street. Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitative Services received assistance with an investigation. Assistance was provided to Hillsboro High School regarding a truant student.
Feb. 10: SRS received assistance with an investigation. Officers attended training at city hall. An individual in the 100 block of South Jefferson Street reported the theft and misuse of a financial card when someone stole the card and used it to obtain $600. A dog complaint was filed at C and Adams streets. Hillsboro Fire Department received assistance in the 800 block of East D Street. Suspicious people were checked at Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course.
Thursday: A funeral escort was provided. Assistance was provided to SRS with a home visit. A parking complaint was filed in the 200 block of North Main Street. A hunting complaint was reported near Hillsboro Industrial Park. Kansas Bureau of Investigation received assistance with an investigation. An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 200 block of North Main Street. A trespass complaint was filed in the 200 block of North Main Street. A noise complaint was reported at B and Date streets. Suspicious people were checked at Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course.
Friday: A residential alarm was activated in the 200 block of South Birch Street. A dog complaint was reported in the 300 block of South Ash Street. Hillsboro City Council packets were delivered. An officer witnessed people in the act of removing property from a business in Hillsboro Heights. The officer noticed a vehicle with out-of-state tags on the property. A search indicated drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A civil standby was provided in the 200 block of North Main Street. A parking complaint was reported on Lincoln Street. A dog complaint was filed in the 200 block of South Main Street. A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of North Ash Street.
